PTI to act against party men for ‘disinterest’ in NA-122 campaign

According to PTI sources, the party’s Punjab organizer Chaudhry Sarwar has informed the party chief Imran Khan the names of those PTI officials, and assembly members who failed to take an active part in the electioneering for NA-122.

Former speaker and PML-N candidate Ayaz Sadiq defeated PTI’s candidate Aleem Khan in a neck to neck contest on October 11, with a thin margin.

Imran Khan has tasked Chaudhry Sarwar for disciplinary action against such PTI leaders, sources further said.

PTI chairman had directed all assembly members of PTI from Punjab to actively participate in the election drive.

Five assembly members and the party’s ticket holders avoided to play an active role in electioneering due to rivalry with PTI candidate Abdul Aleem Khan, party insiders said.
