‘PTI workers won’t last in Islamabad for more than three days’

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Farooqi on Monday said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers will not last in Islamabad sit-in for more than three days, ARY News reported.

“I must tell you one thing.. those who are going to sit in Islamabad are Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers.. these supporters of Imran Khan won’t stay there for more than two, three days,” Sharmila Farooqi told ARY News anchor Kashif Abbasi.

The PPP leader also accused Imran Khan of ditching the joint opposition and taking a ‘solo flight’ on the issue of Panama papers and taking U-turns at will.

“His opinion changes on a lot of issues, and it is not about one or two issues, he changed his stance on almost every issue,” said Farooqi.

Answering a question, she said that PPP’s current stance is that it will not to join the PTI sit-in on November 2.

It is pertinent to note here that PTI has announced to stage a protest sit-in in the federal capital on November 2.

Party chief Imran Khan wants Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to face an inquiry into Panama papers scandal or tender his resignation.

PTI chairman had already clarified that this time, the siege of the federal capital would continue until the resignation of PM or his readiness to face inquiry.

“This protest is for all of Pakistan, this protest is to show the global community that just like Iceland and the UK held their leaders accountable, the people of Pakistan too are ready for real democracy where these pseudo democrats are brought to the corridors of accountability and justice,” PTI had announced on its Facebook page
