PTI’s return to Parliament challenged in IHC

Zafar Ali Shah in his petition stated that PTI’s return to the assemblies is unconstitutional.

He argued that if a member of the assembly resigns his seat and the speaker does not approve his resignation, then the resignation is itself accepted constitutionally.

Shah said that Tehreek-i-Insaf participated in today’s joint session of the Parliament in contrast with the constitution.

The petitioner named Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and PTI members as party to the case.
