Punjab govt launches crackdown on musicians involved in making anti-govt songs

KARACHI: The Punjab government on Thursday launched crackdown on the musicians involved in making songs against the ruling party and government, ARY News reported.

The provincial government has lodged cases against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s sound system manager DJ Wali Son, Qawwal Sher Miandad, his manager, lyricist Qaiser Nadeem Guddu, male singer Malkoo and female singer Shagufta Awan.

The musicians have made different songs exposing the government’s corruption and negligence in different sectors.
