Punjab: Swine flu claims one more life, death toll rises to 13

According to sources, the total number of confirmed cases of swine flu in Punjab have reached 39. Those who have been victims of swine flu hail from Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Chakwal and other cities as well. Pakistan’s prominent doctor Dr Shaharyar said the outbreak of swine flu can be contained by using precautionary measures.

After the deaths that have been caused by swine flu in Punjab, Sindh government has alerted the province, including Karachi, regarding the disease.

In last couple of days, four people have died with one belonging to D.I. Khan and Muzaffargarh, while two from Multan. Three of the deceased persons were women. Health officials said at least 33 people had been tested positive for swine flu in different parts of the province.
