Qadri refuses to accept FIR of Model Town massacre

Addressing his workers and followers on Thursday, Dr Tahirul Qadri objected over the absence of terrorism clauses in the FIR and the name of the premier among the suspects.

The PAT chief said the FIR will only be accepted if the terrorism clauses are added into it.

Qadri asked the participants of the sit-in to wear the burial shroud and to be prepared for a revolution or to embrace martyrdom.

He said our demonstration is constitutional and democratic and no such demonstration has ever held at the Constitution Avenue in the history of Pakistan.

Addressing to the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Dr Tahirul Qadri said, “the workers of both PTI and PAT are political cousins, they are to live and die together”. He also referred Imran Khan to be his brother.

The PAT chief while expressing immense grief, said that nearly half of the country’s population is forced to live in poverty, while the constitution of Pakistan guarantees that no one will be deprived of basic human rights in the state.

He slammed the government saying that it does not have money for public welfare, yet has huge sums for the luxury of the rulers and their children’s grandeur.

Dr Qadri termed the constitution as a ‘cheque’ by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for the welfare of the people, adding, “When the rulers were asked to cash this cheque, they said there is no money, so we had to come on roads for this purpose”.

He said we negotiated almost seven times with the government, yet the talks remained inconclusive.

Qadri said the ministers who had come to negotiate, had no authority and they had confessed that decision-making power solely rests with the Sharif family.

During his address, the PAT chief also inquired the ambassadors of the United States (US), European Union, United Kingdom (UK) that is it what they call democracy in Pakistan.

Moreover, he pledged not to return without acquiring the rights of the people.
