CM Sindh displeased with Rangers “interference” in anti-corruption dept

The chief minister was speaking a gathering organized by the anti-corruption department at the CM House, Karachi.

He insisted that he was standing by his statement on federal government’s interference in provincial affairs.

“Rangers were given powers to eliminate targeted killings, extortion and terrorism, but they broke into the anti-corruption department on their own,” he moaned.

He expressed his displeasure that FIA was intervening in provincial matters, while the authority’s was only mandated to look into crimes at federal level.

The chief executive said “we are framing a new law to eliminate corruption from Sindh.”

Director General NAB Colonel (retd) Siraj Naeem said the authority was not against anybody, adding whoever found involved in corruption will be dealt according to law.

He maintained that no innocent person will be caught during the action.
