During his speech in National Press Club, Qureshi said that journalist community had to go through lots of hardships in the past too but it is a fact that free press strengthened democracy.
PTI’s central leader who enjoys a lot of influence in Sindh and South Punjab was of the view that registering criminal case against reporters for exposing corruption is highly condemnable.
He said that Pakistan is turning into a dangerous country for journalists so PTI will fully support the ‘Journalist Protection Bill’ in Parliament.
