During a meeting between Khursheed Shah and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, the names of Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas, Justice (retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, Mian Ajmal, Tariq Pervez and former chief justice Tasaduq Hussain Jillani.
The opposition leader has now approached the PTI leader to consult on the names of new CEC.
Some media reports suggested that former CJP Jillani and retired Justice Tariq Pervez Khan have emerged as the most likely contenders for the office of the CEC.
