Rabbani demands to restore National Security Committee

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Senator Raza Rabbani has demanded to restore the National Security Committee of the Parliament regarding the security challenges faced by the country – ARY News reports.

Talking to media at the Parliament House on Friday, Raza Rabbani said that the National Security Committee had forwarded 88 recommendations through consensus and the implementation of any of which will not be difficult on this forum.

He added that the committee compiled its recommendations after taking the military and ISI into confidence and the NATO supply was to be reviewed under these proposals, but neither the past nor the current Government could advance on this issue.

Rabbani said that the National Security Committee should be restored in order to prepare recommendations on the national security on permanent basis.
