According to strong rumours in the Indian film industry, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor are being considered for a role in upcoming Dhoom 4. The Bollywood superstars are competing for a chance to play a role in the fourth installment of the franchise, which has grossed huge numbers.
Earlier, it was widely being reported that Hrithik Roshan would be included in the cast fro Dhoom 4. However, director Vijay Krishna Acharya denied the news, stating that the franchise would feature a new cast and not repeated ones. Hrithik Roshan has already been included in the franchise as Mr.A, which is also regarded as one of the best movies of the Dhoom series.
An inside source revealed that Bollywood superstars Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor were likely candidates for the upcoming movie. But only one fo them could make the cut.
“It is unlikely that Hrithik will be part of the film because he has already been part of one edition and no actor is repeated in the Dhoom series. In fact, Aditya Chopra is looking to cast either Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh in the fourth edition — as and when it happens,” the insider said.
“Dhoom has been done. Now, there needs to be another series that sends the audiences pulse racing. The film that Adi has planned with Hrithik will be turned into a franchise film in the future. But unlike Dhoom, this will have only Hrithik as the central character in its sequels as well, like a Dabangg and Krrish,” an Indian website quoted a source as saying.
Dhoom series has featured prominent actors and actresses throughout the series. Daring stunts and action packed sequences have always been an integral part of the movie. The last Dhoom series featured actresses Katrina Kaif and Diana Penty whereas actors Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Uday Chopra and Jackie Shroff were also part of the cast. The film grossed more than Rs 500 crore at the box office worldwide.
