Rawalpindi: PTI workers exchange fire amid celebrations, six injured

Two rival groups of party were involved in a shootout in Sadiqabad police station jurisdiction while celebrating the election tribunal’s decision over NA-122 election on Sunday night.

The injured persons were transferred to hospital for emergency medical attendance.

According to police the fighting started over a monetary dispute. Two groups of PTI were involved in exchange of fire injuring six persons including four PTI workers and two passersby.

The injured persons included a brother of local PML-N leader and his mother, sources said.

Chief Minister of Punjab has called the report of the incident from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi and ordered legal action against the people involved in the incident.
