Record development projects completed in tenure of PML-N govt: PM

SARGODHA: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said the government had completed record development projects achieving 5.7 economic growth rate despite huge challenges.

“Development projects completed by the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government will have far reaching impacts on country’s progress,” he said while addressing a public rally in Sargodha.

He said the PML-N would emerge victorious in next general elections on the basis of its performance.

The premier said 10,400 megawatt of electricity had been added to the national grid in a bid to overcome the load shedding in the country.

He said gas projects worth Rs11 billion were being completed in Sargodha alone. He said 1,700 kilometre motorways had either been completed or were in the final phase.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said one million tons of fertilizers had been imported in 2013, but now situation had changed. He said despite all reservations, the government implemented court’s decision.

He said the government would complete its term till last second .

Referring to horse trading in recent Senate elections, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said such practices in politics should be stopped now.

“The  PML-N is the only party in Pakistan that has not bought any vote in the Senate election. He challenged Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari to negate, on media, horse-trading in the recent Senate election,” he said.

The PM also announced establishment of a women university and cancer and children hospitals in Sargodha.
