Talking to media at his residence on Thursday, Gillani said that the prime minister should also describe his stance over the matter in his statement at the floor of the parliament. Let the parliament decide the matter, he added.
Replying a question about release of his son Ali Haider Gillani from the captivity of his abductors in Afghanistan, the former prime minister said that the release of his son was not lesser than a miracle.
The former prime minister’s son was kidnapped on May 9, 2013 from Multan during an election rally for General Elections 2013 and was in captivity of militants for last three years.
Ali Haider Gilani was rescued on Monday by a joint force of Afghan and U.S. commandos who attacked a house held by al Qaeda militants in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, just across the border from Pakistan.
