Returning Hajj pilgrims face hardships due to PIA mismanagement

According to reports, staff members of the national airliner remain absent from duties which severely affects the flight schedule.

Around 28 pilgrims could not be provided boarding passes for Karachi-bound PK-732 flight and at-least 10 pilgrims returning from Medina to Lahore via flight PK-748, due to overbooking by the PIA staff.

It was also complained that the pilgrims were not provided hotel rooms for stay and were stuck at Jeddah and Medina airports for several hours.

The pilgrims that were refused boarding passes for their respective flights protested against the PIA management over the negligence and mismanagement.
