SA passes resolution for 650 MW power supply to Karachi

According to a report the federal government has refused to supply 650 megawatt of electricity to Karachi after expiry of the power supply deal in January.

Sindh Assembly unanimously passed a resolution moved by MQM member Syed Khalid Ahmed.

The agreement between K-Electric and federal government lapsed on January 26th.

The Karachi-based power supply company was getting 650 MW of electricity from the national grid under the agreement.

The centre has agreed to supply 350 MW of electricity to the metropolis in the summer season.
