Saeed Ghani casts doubts over Shah Mehmood’s loyalty to Imran Khan

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Saeed Ghani has questioned the loyalty of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi to party chairman Imran Khan, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Reacting to former foreign minister’s press conference – held earlier in the day, Saeed Ghani alleged that Shah Mehmood Qureshi has changed his loyalty ‘over time’.

The PPP leader said that Quershi should never forget his past before criticising Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

On the other hand, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi change political parties according to the circumstances, while PPP caught him red-handed while hatching a conspiracy.

“The biggest threat to PTI chief Imran Khan is from Shah Mahmood Qureshi,” Memon said.

Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a press conference and criticized the PPP leadership.

He said that PPP was proud of the 18th Amendment but “Bhutto’s grandson has decided to attack Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s Constitution.

Speaking to the media in Karachi, the former foreign minister has asked PPP to clear its stance on whether they were standing with the Constitution or abrogating it.

“Either the PPP stands with the Constitution or it should announce that it is abrogating it,” he said, adding that the silence that PPP has adopted was not enough.
