21 probationers graduate from Foreign Service Academy

According to a press release by Foreign Office, senior officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, academics, representatives of think tanks and media personnel also participated in the ceremony.

The prime minister’s special assistant felicitated the officers on successful completion of their training and becoming a member of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, the first line of defence for Pakistan.

He said that the Foreign Service gave invaluable exposure to the officers, which aided their personal growth and made them better human beings. He emphatically told the young officers to inculcate among themselves the habit of learning and questioning. He encouraged the officers to serve their country and fellow citizens, with pride, commitment and humility.

Academy, the Director General, Foreign Service Academy Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, remarked that this specialized institution had trained 574 Foreign Service Officers to date. He added that the Academy continuously endeavored to update its training programme to keep in step with the changing nature of diplomacy and the new and emerging challenges”, the release read.

At the end of the ceremony, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs distributed certificates among the participants of 35th Specialized Diplomatic Course and awarded medals to the top three performers of the previous batch, i.e. 34th Specialized Diplomatic Course.

A total of 21, including 13 gentlemen and 8 lady probationers of the Foreign Service of Pakistan, graduated today from the Foreign Service Academy.
