KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Wednesday offered the civil society to visit examination centres to help stop use of unfair means in Sindh, ARY News reported.
“It is better to come and help me in stopping cheating than criticizing the government on social media,” Syed Sardar Ali Shah said while talking to media.
He asked the civil society members, who were updating Facebook status, to step out into the field.
The provincial minister announced to issue special passes for the civil society members who wanted to visit examination halls.
“The civil society and parents will have to come forward to eradicate this menace,” he said.
Syed Sardar Shah expressed surprise when he arrived at Halipota High School and found that 90 percent of the students had finished their papers by 11:00am.
“I am surprised that how the students have done their papers of three hours in one and a half hours,” he said.

He acknowledged that the educational boards needed reforms.
On April 2, Board of Secondary Education Karachi’s (BSEK) Chairman Prof Dr Saeeduddin had asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to stop WhatsApp groups being used for unfair means in examinations.
In a letter to the director FIA, the BSEK chief had said complaints were received that solved papers were being provided to students through WhatsApp.
“The FIA should stop all such WhatsApp group,” he had said.
