RAWALPINDI: Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir on Thursday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to military’s media wing, matters of mutual interests, Pakistan-India tension, regional security and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting.
In the wake of Pakistan-India tension, the Saudi minister for foreign affairs categorically announced that Riyadh would continue its support to Pakistan at every forum.
Talking to COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Adel al-Jubeir lauded the role of Pakistan for regional peace and stability.
On the occasion, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated the role of Adel al-Jubeir for promoting peace and added that Saudi Arabia always stayed true to its friendship with Pakistan.

Earlier in the day, Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir assured his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi of Saudi Arabia’s full cooperation to settle all the outstanding issues between Pakistan and India peacefully.
Saudi Arabian Minister al-Jubeir said this in a meeting with FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.
They discussed matters of mutual interest, including Pakistan-India tension and regional peace.
The Saudi Arabian state minister is on a day-long visit to Pakistan at the direction of Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and his tour aims at bringing the tense environment between Pakistan and India to normalcy.
