Saudia, UAE to have Ramadan’s first fasting on June 29

DUBAI: Ramadan moon was not sighted on Friday, hence the fasting month in Saudi Arabia and other gulf states would now start from June 29, ARY News reported.

The crescent moon which marks the new lunar month was not sighted on Friday night and that Sunday (June 29) would be considered the first day of the dawn-to-dusk month of fasting.

However, Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee in Pakistan will likely made announcement in this regard in a day or two.
