Unusual security measures for PPP’s power show in Karachi

Security arrangements for the public gathering  of PPP are being finalized. Home Secretary Dr. Niaz Abbasi said that jammers will be placed around the rally venue whereas fool proof security arrangements have been taken for the PPP leadership.

Sources suggest that over 48,000  police officers from across the province will be deployed whereas Bomb Disposal Squad and sniffer dogs will also be used to boost.

The fire brigade staff will also be on duty till the rally comes to a curtain call. Three thousand PPP workers will also be on duty to provide security on the public gathering tomorrow.

All routes leading to the rally venue have been closed and the people will be forced to take alternative routes for reaching their respective destinations.

Unusual Security Measures

A survey of  residents living around the venue is being done on written forms while strict instructions are being given to the residents for the day of event.

People are asked not to come out of their houses unnecessarily  and told to stay off the rooftops on D-day.

A letter is also being issued to the shopkeepers instructing them not to open their businesses in the vicinity on the 18th of October

It should be noted that Sindh Government had issued a letter earlier stating that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is facing terror threats whereas the party chairman had denied that he had received any such threat.
