Sepoy Maqbool Hussain is the real definition of a patriot, in lieu of getting released by exposing country’s secrets he chose to rather get his tongue cut by inhumane Indian military.
He was captured by the enemy in 1965 war after successfully carrying out his mission in Srinagar.
The strong headed soldier remained in the list of ‘Missing in Action’ for decades spending as many as forty years amid excessive cruelty in Indian prison but the Indian military has never declared him as a war prisoner because it would have gotten him a few rights.
However, he returned to Pakistan in 2005 in exchange for Indian prisoners just like many Pakistani prisoners in Indian captivity.
He ended up losing his psychological balance enduring continuous gory torture by Indian military all these years the only thing this brave man remembered was his ID number 335139.
He was honored with Sitara e Jurat for his acts of valor after returning to Pakistan.
The veteran soldier had had his funeral on August 28, 2018 which was attended by top-notch Army and Government officials.
