Sethi pokes fun at Imran, says ICC asked to send top players

KARACHI: Chairman Executive Committee Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi on Friday poked fun at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan by saying that PCB has asked International Cricket Council (ICC) to send top players to Pakistan so that Imran Khan can’t call them ‘Phateechar’, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after attending an ICC meeting, Sethi said Chairman of ICC’s Pakistan Task Force Giles Clarke has reviewed security report of ICC experts and agreed that world’s current top players would play three T20 matches in Pakistan at the end of September.

“ICC ki Team AaigiIs Baar Hum Ney Unko Pakka Kia Ha k Dekhlo Ye Na Ho Imran Khan Kahey Phateechar Bhej Diye, to Hamein Top Loug Chahyen,”

said Najam Sethi.

“We have taken assurance from them (ICC) that they will send top players otherwise Imran Khan will call them Phateechar (useless),”

Answering a question, he maintained that Pakistan has categorically told Bangladesh Cricket Board that Pakistan cricket team will not visit their country unless they too visit Pakistan for a series.

He said ICC had rolled back Big Three model and India has consequently faced $200 million loss. He said Pakistan would benefit from this latest development in ICC model.
