KHUZDAR: At least seven people lost their lives and 23 were injured when a bus collided with an incoming truck in Zawa, area of Khuzdar, ARY News reported.
According to rescue sources, the bus was carrying wedding party and it was heading to Karachi from Quetta.
District commissioner of Khuzdar said that more than a dozen injured people were transferred to the Teaching Hospital Khuzdar Medical College.
According to reports, most of the injured people belonged to the Hindu community.
On Oct 23, at least 19 people were killed and over 40 others injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Dera Ghazi Khan.
One of the passenger buses was completely destroyed in the accident and the bodies of the dead and injured were retrieved after cutting parts of the buses.
According to an estimate, around 9,000 road accidents are reported every year in Pakistan, claiming more than 4,500 lives on average annually.
