Sources said that the security forces shelled suspected militant hideouts at Sipah area of Khyber Agency due to which the landmines, planted by the terrorists, went off resulting in the death of seven militants.
The slain militants were members of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Islam group, sources said.
It should be noted that the Pakistani government has decided to launch military offensives in North Waziristan and Khyber tribal regions in 2014 after series of heinous terrorist attacks in the country.
