KARACHI: Former Director of the Federal Investigation Agency Sindh Shahid Hayat has reportedly fallen severely sick in Nairobi and has been admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
Hayat is currently present in the Kenyan capital on a private visit, where he reportedly suffered from a collapsed lung. He was admitted to the Agha Khan University Hospital there and is placed in intensive care.
Family sources confirmed that Hayat is in a critical condition, and doctors have conducted several tests and will be operated upon soon. They also said that doctors have barred him from travelling back to the country.
Hayat has also been the former Additional Inspector General in Karachi until he was removed on the orders of the Supreme Court in 2014.
