SHC suspends notification against Hyderabad’s controller exam

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday halted implementation on the suspension notification of Masroor Ahmed Zai, the controller of examination of the Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE).

During the course of the proceeding, Masroor Ahmed’s counsel appraised the court that his client was suspended by the Sindh chief minister without any allegation.

On the occasion, the SHC ordered to halt implementation on the suspension orders and summoned the defendant on April 23.

It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, on April 1, had suspended Hyderabad’s controller of examination over his alleged failure to stop cheating in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

Earlier, taking strong notice of complaints of cheating by the students in Sukkur region, during Secondary School Certificates (SSC) examination, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had suspended Sukkur board’s controller of examination.

On the directions of CM Sindh, Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah had visited different examination centre in Sukkur and found students cheating in their annual exams.

The minister in his report to the provincial chief executive had said students were found using unfair means in their examination at different centres of Sukkur region and also informed him about making examination paper public way before the examination.
