ISLAMABAD: Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the chief of the Awami Muslim League (AML), on Tuesday strongly criticised the Pakistan Tereek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) counsel Naeem Bukhari over his handling of the Panamagate case in the Supreme Court.
Speaking to reporters outside the apex court, Sheikh Rasheed blamed Bukhari for unnecessarily delay in the resolution of the case.
“Naeem Bokhari knows nothing about the case and is giving arguments in the court,” said a visibly enraged Sheikh Rasheed.
Later, several lawyers including the friends of Bukhari tried to pacify him. Rasheed said that if Bokhari continues to handle the case this way, he will not give his arguments in the court.
He also said that that if he was given the opportunity then he would request the Supreme Court to summon Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and ask him to testify under oath.
“I will request the court to summon respondent number one Nawaz Sharif and ask him to testify under oath.” said Rasheed.

He said that if twelve parliamentarians can be disqualified under Article 62 and 63 of the constitution, the the prime minister should also be sent home.
