PM Imran Khan to inaugurate Nullah Lai project, announces Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed on Tuesday said that his department was going to lay new railway track citing international standards, ARY News reported.

Sheikh Rashed while talking to reporters in Rawalpindi made a series of announcements regarding new projects initiated by the Ministry of Railways.

He said that Nullah Lai railway line project was an important and biggest project of the city.

Rasheed said that Nullah Lai [railway track] project will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan after his approval. He added that design of the railway line project has been finalised which would completely change the face of the city.

The railways’ minister said that Pakistan and China had made agreements on various aspects of ML-1 project while the country was going to sign more agreements with Iran and Russia as well.

Besides the announcement for Nullah Lai project, Rasheed also recalled that PM Khan will inaugurate Jinnah Express on March 30 in Lahore. He added that the department will construct a railway station in Hyderabad with the cost of Rs70 million.

The present government was making maximum efforts for improvements in the national economy besides controlling gas and electricity prices to recover losses made by the previous governments, he said.

Rasheed said that he was going to present before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on March 15 at 11:00 am.

The federal minister announced the establishment of another nursing school and hospital as its foundation stone was laid four years ago. He thanked Chief Justice of Pakistan for his firm decision that increases the pace of construction work of the hospital.

He said that the hospital will be the most modern hospital in Pakistan. He added that a tender has been allotted for the nursing training hospital.

While commenting over Nawaz Sharif’s ailment, Rasheed said that he had already apprised whole nation that his treatment was possible in Lal Haveli.

Taking aim at Sharifs, people should take a lesson from the corrupt politicians who have been exposed before the nation after being caught in graft cases. He claimed that there was no future of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the country.

The minister said that PM Khan was authorised to allow treatment of Nawaz Sharif in London. He added that Imran Khan was making full efforts to bring back looted money of the country.

He predicted that the corrupt elements, who were facing NAB cases, cannot cause any danger to Imran Khan-led government.

While detailing his recent visit to Iran, the railways’ minister said that his visit to Tehran was successful where he had met think tanks and attempted to remove misunderstandings between the two countries.
