GOJRA: Six people of the same family were killed on Sunday when their car collided with a express train near Gojra in district Toba Tek Singh, ARY News reported.
The incident happened the car driver attempted to cross the railway track at a unmarked crossing when it collided with the incoming Shalimar Express. The car was completely flattened in the accident. The dead include a woman, child and four men.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed profound grief and sorrow over loss of human lives in the accident. He conveyed his heartfelt condolence and sympathies to the heirs of deceased persons.
In a similar incident, nine people including six children were killed when a motorcycle-rickshaw collided with the Hazara Express train near Lodhran on January 6.
