Six killed in drone strike in North Waziristan

According to ARY News, an unmanned aircraft fired missiles at a house and a vehicle in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan region.

The missiles fired from a US drone hit a compound and vehicle leaving six persons dead while the house and vehicle completely destroyed, sources said.

Six suspected militants were killed whereas the compound and the vehicle were destroyed in the strike.

A military offensive, codenamed Zarb-e-Azb, has been underway in North Waziristan tribal region against militants.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam in a statement called drone strikes violation of the international law.
