Six terrorists killed in Muzaffargarh raid: Police

MUZAFFARGARH: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officials in a raid here on Friday morning killed six terror suspects in a shootout in Muzaffargarh, while four others were fled from the scene, ARY News reported.

The CTD personnel on an intelligence tip-off conducted raid at a hideout of terrorists in Muzaffargarh. The militants opened fire at the law enforcers. In an ensuing gunbattle six terrorists were killed, while four of their accomplices escaped from the scene.

A wanted terrorist Yaseen alias Imran was also killed in the raid, a spokesman of the CTD police said.

Police recovered explosives and other munitions from the slain terrorists, CTD officials said. According to officials, terrorists were planning to attack offices of the secret agencies.

It is pertinent to mention here that the law enforcement personnel arrested an Afghan national with large quantity of explosives in Peshawar this morning.
