Snake Pass slithers on to Xbox One, Windows 10 PC

Xbox One players can rejoice as the puzzle platform video game Snake Pass is now available on the console and on Windows 10 via Xbox Play Anywhere support.

James Megretton, Snake Pass Community Coordinator, made the announcement in blog post to bring the news about from the developer and publisher Sumo Digital.

He briefly described how far Snake Pass has come from humble roots, and just a little over a year ago it was more than a small tech demo built within Unreal Engine 4 for an upcoming company Game Jam.

Later, game designer Seb Liese played around for a few hours in-engine and came up with the idea of putting together physics based rope that players could interact with.

After playing around for a few hours in-engine, designer Seb Liese came up with the idea of putting together physics based rope that players could interact with, which eventually evolved into a simple, but crude snake figure.

A few months later, Snake Pass began to take shape at Sumo Digital with “snake-like physics, the gorgeous landscapes, (and) the glowing collectibles.”

The game was tested UK event EGX Rezzed where they were overwhelmed by positivity from the crowds that came to check the game out, which gave the green light for full production.

This marked the beginning of a journey as the Sumo Digital team worked tirelessly for twelve months to build the game into a fresh take on the beloved genre.

Snake Pass is now available and waiting for players to slither to its highest peaks, whether on your couch or on the go with the help of Xbox Play Anywhere.
