Special Courts part of National Action Plan, says Sharif

Sharif was chairing a meeting to review progress on the enforcement of the National Action Plan against terrorism.

Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Director General ISI Lt. Gen Rizwan Akhter and other civilian and military officials were attending the meeting.

PM Nawaz while expressing his confidence over various counter terrorism measures hoped that the menace of terrorism would be eliminated from Pakistan through the collective resolve of the government and citizens.

He said the special courts are part of the national plan against terrorism to provide an extraordinary solution of the extraordinary problem. The prime minister said the government will refer cases of hardcore terrorists, who are responsible for mass murders of civilians, kids and young soldiers, to special military courts.
