Spooky CCTV footage has emerged showing the furniture at a restaurant in California moving on its own in the dead of night.
The footage shows a stool shake before tipping itself over in a completely empty bar.
Two videos, one filmed after closing and another during business hours, were uploaded om the cafe’s Facebook page shows the chairs tilt and topple without anyone going near them.
Dave Foldes, co-owner of The Cronies Bar in Ventura, California, insisted that the videos were genuine and it was not a stunt. He believes the bar could have a ghost on its hands.
“For this to happen it’s pretty creepy,” he told CBS2 adding that he started Cronies 27 years ago and this was the first time anything like this has ever happened.
The general manager made a video using the footage from the security camera a few weeks ago posting it on social media.
Two weeks later, some more unexplained movement. This time it was move subtle but a chair could be seen moving.
A lady having lunch noticed the moving chair and checked it out.
The bar’s walls are adorned with photos of employees and customers who have passed away.
Customer Juan Munoz said: “So many people come here and go, so…maybe it’s haunted.”
“We have a lot of good spirits here, I like to think.”
He added: “Ralph and Don. They were our first originals. They actually introduced me to my wife. And they died 25 years ago.
“Whenever something funny happens, we blame it on them.”
However, the cafe’s customers don’t seem too put off by the spooky goings on.
Another customer said that he would not be frightened until a ghost ‘moved his chair’. He added the that he found the haunting ‘funny’ and ‘interesting’.
