Supreme Court seeks nominees of JIT from concerned departments

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has sent the copies of its verdict of Panamagate Case to six state entities for nomination of their representatives for the JIT probe against Sharifs, ARY News reported.

A bench of the apex court in its judgment announced Thursday ordered formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) under its supervision to investigate the money trail and other unanswered questions of the case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his two sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz.

According to sources, the

court has sent copies of the verdict to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Accountability Bureau (NAB), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).

The court has also asked all concerned departments to give the names of their nominees to the court within seven days.

The committee will submit its progress report in the court fortnightly. The JIT will also be bound to finalize its probe and submit its complete report within 60 days.
