allama iqbal

Allama Iqbal also know as the Sir Muhammad Iqbal was the national poet of Pakistan he was a poet, philosopher and a politician by profession. born on November 9th 1877 in Sialkot, before accepting Islam his forefathers were Hindus. His father name was sheikh Noor Muhammad and his grand father name was sheikh Muhammad Rafiq and Mother Imam Bibi. He had four sisters and 1 brother. He was first married in 1893 while he was in his 10th standard with Kareem BIBI and had two children boy named Aftab and daughter Miraj Begum.

Allam Iqbal married for the second time in 1909 with wife Mukhtar Begum who belongs to Ludhiana and third wife named Sardar begum whom he again had two children boy named Javed Iqbal and daughter Munaza Bibi. He got his early education and college from Scotch Mission College Sialkot.

He used to get advice from Daag Dehlvi, who was his teacher in poetry also. Famous poet was appointed as the assistant professor of government college of Lahore and wrote Nala-e-Firaq on the retirement of professor Arnold when he was going back to England.
