Trump’s father, Frederick Trump, was a builder and real estate developer who specialized in constructing and operating middle-income apartments in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Donald’s eldest sister was a senior judge of the US Court of Appeals.

From the 1980s Trump periodically mused in public about running for President but those moments were portrated in media as a publicity stunts In June 2015 Trump announced that he would be a candidate in the U.S President elections 2016. His objective was “Make America Great Again” which he portrayed he promised to create millions of new jobs; to punish American companies that exported jobs overseas.

Trump largely funded the campaign himself.He was criticized by many leading conservatives who questioned whether he was really a Republican. In fact, Trump had been registered as a Democrat for more than eight years in the 2000s. And he contributed money to the campaigns of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
