Edhi Foundation

Edhi foundation is one of the largest and oldest welfare foundation of Pakistan and it is also one the largest welfare organization of Asia region. It is non-commercial, non-political welfare organization which is serving the humanity since 1951.

Edhi foundation was laid by Late Abdul Sattar Edhi, he started to help the community from his home and served the people till his last breadth. During the early days he used to sit outside his house and welcome children to his home rather than seeing the cast and creed.

Late Mr Edhi used to provide education, food, medical facilities and other daily essential resources to the children and later after they are grown enough the organization also organize the weddings of the children. After seeing the dedication and sincerity of Late Mr Edhi many international organizations used to support the foundation.

Edhi foundation was the first Pakistani foundation who have the first air ambulance of Pakistan and the organization always stood at front in the hard time of the nation by providing support and resources to poor and needy in their hard times. During initial days Mr and Ms Edhi were alone handling the operations of the organization later after it was looked after by the children of Mr Edhi.
