FBR

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was established on 01 April 1924 through depiction of the central board of revenue Act, 1924. Multiple changes were made inside the ministry to streamline the organization and its functions in 1974. FBR operates by keeping the tax evader under surveillance.

The basic role of the formation of federal board or revenue is to collect tax and spread tax awareness among citizens & business community. The department is divided under multiple divisions and performing their duties as per policies and law. Head of the institute is the chairman FBR who is directly appointed by the premier of Pakistan. Under the chairman operational members, policy member’s functional members, support member and support director generals are working who are directly reporting the progress of the work and organization to the Chairman.

Further down the hierarchy of the ministry includes the IR operations & policies members. Member fate, strategy planning and other members are working in the third layer of the ministry. FBR Chairman has the responsibility to do interactions with the president of the state, prime minister and other economic ministries including trade and industry.
