Layyah city located in the south region of Punjab province in Pakistan the city covers the land of about 6291 km² it is one of the oldest civilizations of South Asia region Manda-Tail point is also located in the city which was also remained the center of Britisher in 1989.

The city is divided into three tehsil Layyah, Karor Lal Esan and Chaubara. The famous poet Naseem Layyah and journalist Rauf Klasraalso belongs to the same city. The city is surrounded by four cities Jhang, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh having population of more than 2 million people.

Layyah has literacy rate of 89% being an agricultural city the cash crops includes cotton, potatoes, tomatoes, rice, sugar cane and chickpeas. the city is also famous for its growth of watermelons, oranges and mangoes the fifth largest sugar mill of the country is also situated in the city.
