PFA

Punjab food authority (PFA) was established in 2012. The authority is working as a functional entity in the district Lahore with the aim of enforcement of hygienic food and quality standard as per the ACT 2011.

The Authority is responsible for assuring the quality of food provided in the markets is halal and as per the standard of the PFA ACT 2011. Anyone found in violating the law are initially fined and warned later strict actions are taken among the accused.

The authority initiative is very much appreciated by the citizen as they had faced many difficulties in eating out. Crack down had also been carried out against the mafia involved in providing the low standard eatable in the local markets.

Punjab food authority includes additional directors, directors, auditors, project director, legal advisor and security consulate. Each department has their own additional directors dividing the work load equally for the better output of the authority.
