Reza Baqir

Reza Baqir a graduate of Harvard University in economics also holds a Phd Degree in economics from University of California. having more than twenty year of experience, eighteen year servings in the International Mandatory Funds (IMF) and two years with the world bank.

During his tenure in IMF Reza Baqir has been appointed to many countries and multiple position he had also worked as the Head of the IMF office in Egypt and also as the senior resident representative since august 2017.

Being a strong economist holding an reputable profile he was recently appointed as the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan by the President Arif Alvi. Although his appointment was questioned by the opposition political parties of country.
