Sheikh Hasina

Sheikh Hasina full name Sheikh Hasina Wazed is a Bengali female politician and leader of Awami League political party. She has been thrice elected as the prime minister of the state. Hasina is the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman mastermind of Bangladesh separation from Pakistan in 1971.

Sheikh Hasina Political career is full of struggles and challenges few months after his father became the president of the Bangladesh his whole family members were assassinated at their home via military operation she was not present in the country while the operation was conducted and spend further more six years in exhale.

Family being assassinated she was the only member of her family to lead his father legacy, she was chosen as the chairman of Awami League, after returning home in 1981 she started campaigns in the entire country to support democracy which led her to arrest due as well. She was the only politician who stood against military dictatorship and force the military commander to step down from the office in 1990.

Sheikh Hasina first got elected as the prime minister of Bangladesh in 1996 after defeating her opponents from Bangladesh Nationalist Party, after completing her complete tenure Hasina got elected for the second time in 2009 after the emergency got lifted from the country. She has been known as one of the brave politician in the Bangladesh history.
