Target killer confesses to killing 18

KARACHI: The alleged target killer of a political party arrested from Tipu Sultan area of Karachi had confessed to killing 18 persons, ARY News reported.

Hamid Ghori said he started target killing in 2009 after he was given a key post by his party. He targeted 18 persons in different areas of the metropolis, he said.

This was revealed in an interrogation report availed by ARY News.

He confessed that he killed New Karachi’s Sector member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). “We used to have clash with MQM over funds, extortion money and Fitra collection.”

“I killed several MQM members over conflict of collection of extortion and Fitra money,” he said according to the report.

The accused also confessed killing six members of a religious party in a clash in 2012, in which his party’s three members were killed.

He said his three accomplices, Sufyan, Aqeel Tailor and Faisal Ganderi, also carried out target killing with him and set buses on fire on his direction.
