ISLAMABAD: All banks are directed to keep the counters open conducting government banking until 8pm on June 29, 2018 in order to receive government payments including taxes.
All field offices of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will remain open and observe extended working hours till 8:00pm on June 29 (Friday) and till 10:00pm on June 30 (Saturday) for collection of duties and taxes.
The Chief Collectors of Customs will liaise with the State Bank of Pakistan, National Bank of Pakistan and other scheduled commercial banks in their respective jurisdiction to ensure transfer of the taxes collected by these branches to the respective offices of the State Bank of Pakistan on the same date and to account the same towards collection for the month of June, 2018.
According to notification issued by establishment division, caretaker federal government removed chairman Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) Tariq Pasha from his post and appointed Rukhsana Yasmeen as new chairperson of FBR. Now, he will serve as a secretary statistics.
Tariq Pasha was constituted as chairman FBR in July 2017, while Rukhsana Yasmeen will take charge as FBR chairman from July 1, previously Rukhsana Yasmeen served on important posts including member FBR.
