KARACHI: A student was killed after a passenger coach ran over him at Karachi’s Patel Para area on Friday, ARY News reported.
A coach ran over a 16-year old boy named Ghulamullah Khan — donning a uniform — at Patel Para.
Police stated that the coach has been taken into custody. The bus driver Yasir managed to escape following the incident while conductor Ghulam Murtaza has been arrested.
“The student had boarded the bus from Lasbela. He fell from it after the driver hit the brakes and came under its wheels,” police said.
It should be noted that at least four people were killed and 11 injured when a ‘speeding’ bus ran over people standing at a bus stop along an under-construction University Road on Thursday.
The incident occurred near Baitul Mukarram mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, where people were awaiting at the bus stop when speeding public transport bus, bearing registration number PE-4042, ran over them.
