Test report shows Sharif did not suffer a cardiac stroke: sources

LAHORE: The medical test report of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif validated that he had not suffered a cardiac stroke, sources informed ARY News reported on Monday.

According to reports, the incarcerated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo underwent several medical tests at the Services Hospital Lahore on Feb 3 as prescribed by the medical board formed to examine his deteriorating health.

Sources relayed that the results of Sharif’s medical tests were negative which proved the fact that he had not suffered any cardiac attacks. “This specific test was conducted twice and the results were negative both the times.”

Sharif was shifted to the aforementioned hospital from Kot Lakhpat Jail on Feb 2 amid tight security. He had been hospitalised on the recommendation of a special medical board constituted by the Punjab government.

Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan had also briefed the board about his patient’s medical history related to his heart ailment.
