Three civilians killed in Indian forces firing in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: At least three civilians were killed and dozens other were injured on Saturday when Indian troops opened fire on peaceful protesters in Pulwama district of India-occupied Kashmir region.

The Indian occupation forces fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the enraged protesters, who took to the roads to protest against the killings of two Kashmiri youth during a search operation in Litter area of Pulwama district.

According to local Kashmiri media, the protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. One of the deceased has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Mir, who was rushed to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.

The situation in the area is reportedly tense.

Meanwhile, the authorities have suspended mobile internet services in Pulwama district to prevent people from sharing information about the tense situation in the area.
